Angevin dynasty
The Angevin dynasty was a royal family that ruled over England and parts of France from the late 12th to the early 13th centuries. It began with Henry II, who became king in 1154. The dynasty is known for its vast territories, which included England, Normandy, and parts of Aquitaine.
The Angevin kings, including Richard the Lionheart and John, faced challenges such as conflicts with France and internal rebellions. The dynasty ended with the death of John in 1216, leading to the rise of the Plantagenet family, which continued to influence English history.
