Anemias
Anemia is a condition characterized by a deficiency of red blood cells or hemoglobin in the blood, leading to reduced oxygen transport throughout the body. Common symptoms include fatigue, weakness, and pale skin. There are various types of anemia, including iron-deficiency anemia, vitamin B12 deficiency anemia, and sickle cell anemia, each with different causes and treatments.
The most prevalent type, iron-deficiency anemia, occurs when the body lacks sufficient iron to produce hemoglobin. This can result from inadequate dietary intake, blood loss, or certain medical conditions. Treatment often involves dietary changes, supplements, or addressing underlying health issues to restore normal blood levels.
