Andronikos III Komnenos
Andronikos III Komnenos was a Byzantine Emperor who ruled from 1328 to 1341. He was born in 1297 and was a member of the Komnenos dynasty. His reign is noted for efforts to restore the Byzantine Empire's power and influence, which had declined due to internal strife and external threats.
During his rule, Andronikos III focused on military campaigns against the Ottoman Turks and sought to strengthen the empire's economy. He also worked to improve relations with the Western European states. His reign ended with his death in 1341, leading to a period of instability and regency for his young son, John V Palaiologos.
