Ancient Greek Clothing
Ancient Greek clothing primarily consisted of two main garments: the chiton and the himation. The chiton was a simple tunic made from a rectangular piece of fabric, often worn belted at the waist. It could be made of linen or wool and varied in length, depending on the wearer's status and occasion.
The himation was a cloak worn over the chiton, providing warmth and protection. Both garments were typically draped and fastened with pins or brooches. Colors and patterns varied, with wealthier individuals often wearing more elaborate designs, while simpler styles were common among the lower classes.
