Anastasia Romanovna
Anastasia Romanovna was a Russian noblewoman born in 1530, known for being the first wife of Tsar Ivan IV, also known as Ivan the Terrible. She played a significant role in the early years of his reign, providing stability and support during a tumultuous period in Russian history.
Anastasia came from the influential Romanov family, which later became the ruling dynasty of Russia. Her marriage to Ivan IV marked the beginning of a new era, but her untimely death in 1560 led to a period of personal and political turmoil for the tsar, contributing to his increasingly erratic behavior.
