Amphiaraus
Amphiaraus was a figure from Greek mythology, known as a seer and a hero. He was a descendant of Melampus, a famous soothsayer, and played a significant role in the Seven Against Thebes myth. Amphiaraus was renowned for his prophetic abilities, often foreseeing the outcomes of battles and events.
In the story, he was reluctantly drawn into the conflict against Thebes due to his loyalty to his brother, Polyneices. Despite knowing the dangers, he participated in the expedition but ultimately met his fate when the earth opened up to swallow him, a testament to his connection with the divine and the tragic nature of his life.
