Amoral
The term "amoral" refers to a lack of moral sense or principles. An amoral individual does not adhere to the concepts of right and wrong, often viewing actions and decisions through a neutral lens. This perspective can lead to behavior that is indifferent to ethical considerations, as the person does not feel bound by societal norms or moral codes.
In philosophy, amoralism contrasts with both moralism and immorality. While moralism involves strict adherence to moral rules, and immorality denotes the violation of those rules, amoralism simply exists outside of this framework. Examples of amoral entities include certain business practices or art forms that prioritize outcomes over ethical implications.
