Amin al-Husseini
Amin al-Husseini was a prominent Palestinian Arab leader and the Grand Mufti of Jerusalem. Born in 1895, he played a significant role in the Arab nationalist movement during the early 20th century. Al-Husseini was known for his opposition to Zionism and his efforts to mobilize Arab support against the British mandate in Palestine.
During World War II, al-Husseini sought support from Nazi Germany in his opposition to British rule and Jewish immigration to Palestine. His controversial alliances and actions have made him a polarizing figure in the history of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. Al-Husseini passed away in 1974, leaving a complex legacy.
