American Invitational Mathematics Examination (AIME)
The American Invitational Mathematics Examination (AIME) is a mathematics competition for high school students in the United States. It serves as a qualifying exam for the USA Mathematical Olympiad (USAMO) and is designed to challenge students with a range of mathematical problems that require creative problem-solving skills.
The AIME consists of 15 multiple-choice questions, each worth 1 point, and students have 3 hours to complete the exam. The problems cover various topics, including algebra, geometry, and number theory, and are intended to test students' mathematical reasoning and ability to apply concepts in novel ways.
