American Federation of Government Employees
The American Federation of Government Employees (AFGE) is a labor union representing federal government employees in the United States. Founded in 1932, it advocates for workers' rights, fair wages, and better working conditions. The AFGE is affiliated with the AFL-CIO, a larger federation of labor unions, and works to ensure that government employees have a voice in their workplace.
AFGE represents a diverse range of workers, including those in the Department of Veterans Affairs, the Department of Homeland Security, and other federal agencies. The union engages in collective bargaining, lobbying for legislation, and providing support to its members in various employment-related issues.
