American Airlines Flight 77
American Airlines Flight 77 was a scheduled domestic flight from Washington Dulles International Airport to Los Angeles International Airport. On September 11, 2001, the flight was hijacked by five terrorists associated with al-Qaeda and crashed into the Pentagon in Arlington, Virginia.
The aircraft, a Boeing 757, took off at 8:20 AM and was scheduled to arrive in Los Angeles at 10:10 AM. It was the third plane to be hijacked that day, resulting in the deaths of all 125 people in the Pentagon and 59 passengers and crew members on board.
