Alpha Cygni
Alpha Cygni, also known as Deneb, is one of the brightest stars in the night sky and is located in the constellation Cygnus. It is classified as a supergiant star, specifically a type A2 Ia star, and is approximately 1,425 light-years away from Earth. Deneb is notable for its immense size and luminosity, being about 200,000 times more luminous than the Sun.
Deneb serves as a key point in the Summer Triangle, a prominent asterism formed by three bright stars: Vega, Altair, and Deneb itself. It is also part of the Milky Way and plays a significant role in the study of stellar evolution due to its advanced stage in the life cycle of massive stars.
