Alpha Centauri System
The Alpha Centauri System is the closest star system to Earth, located about 4.37 light-years away. It consists of three stars: Alpha Centauri A, Alpha Centauri B, and Proxima Centauri. Proxima Centauri is a red dwarf star and is the nearest of the three, while Alpha Centauri A and B are similar to our Sun and form a binary pair.
Proxima Centauri has at least one confirmed exoplanet, known as Proxima Centauri b, which orbits within the star's habitable zone. The Alpha Centauri System has been a target for exploration and study, as it may offer insights into potential life beyond our solar system.
