All Progressives Congress
The All Progressives Congress (APC) is a major political party in Nigeria, formed in 2013. It was created through a merger of four opposition parties, aiming to provide a unified front against the ruling party at the time. The APC promotes policies focused on economic development, anti-corruption, and good governance.
In the 2015 general elections, the APC made history by winning the presidency, marking the first time an opposition party defeated an incumbent in Nigeria. The party's candidate, Muhammadu Buhari, became the president, and since then, the APC has played a significant role in shaping the country's political landscape.
