Alice of the United Kingdom
Alice of the United Kingdom was born on April 25, 1843, as the second daughter of Queen Victoria and Prince Albert. She became the Grand Duchess of Hesse when she married Louis IV, Grand Duke of Hesse in 1862. Alice was known for her charitable work and dedication to education, particularly for women and children.
Alice had six children and was deeply involved in family life. She was also a strong supporter of her mother's reign and often acted as a mediator in royal matters. Alice passed away on December 14, 1878, from diphtheria, leaving a legacy of compassion and service.
