Ali Jaffar Al-Mahdi
Ali Jaffar Al-Mahdi, often referred to simply as Al-Mahdi, is a significant figure in Islamic eschatology, particularly within the Shia branch of Islam. He is believed to be the twelfth and final Imam, who was born in 869 CE and is thought to have gone into occultation, meaning he is hidden from the public but will return to bring justice and peace to the world.
His return is anticipated by many Muslims, who view him as a messianic figure. Al-Mahdi's role is to restore righteousness and lead the faithful in a time of great turmoil, fulfilling prophecies found in various Islamic texts.
