Algerian Berbers
Algerian Berbers, also known as Amazigh, are an indigenous ethnic group in Algeria, primarily residing in the mountainous regions of the Kabylie and Aurès. They have their own distinct languages, such as Tamazight, and a rich cultural heritage that includes traditional music, dance, and crafts.
Historically, Algerian Berbers have faced challenges regarding their identity and rights, especially during periods of Arabization. In recent years, there has been a resurgence of interest in Berber culture, leading to greater recognition of their language and traditions within Algerian society.
