Alfred Edward Housman
Alfred Edward Housman was an English poet, scholar, and classical scholar born on March 26, 1859. He is best known for his poetry collection, A Shropshire Lad, published in 1896, which reflects themes of love, loss, and the passage of time. In addition to his poetry, Housman was a prominent academic, teaching at University College London and later at Cambridge University.
