Alexander of Greece
Alexander of Greece, also known as Alexander I, was born on July 1, 1893, and became King of Greece in 1917. He was the son of King Constantine I of Greece and Queen Sophia of Greece. His reign was marked by Greece's involvement in World War I and the subsequent territorial changes in the region.
Alexander's rule ended abruptly when he died on April 25, 1920, due to an infection from a monkey bite. His death led to political instability in Greece, and he was succeeded by his father, Constantine I, who returned to the throne after a period of exile.
