Alexander Borodin
Alexander Borodin was a Russian composer, chemist, and physician, born on November 12, 1833. He is best known for his contributions to classical music, particularly his symphonies and operas. Borodin was a member of the Mighty Handful, a group of Russian composers who sought to create a distinct national style in music.
In addition to his musical career, Borodin was a respected scientist. He worked as a professor of chemistry at the Imperial Medical-Surgical Academy in St. Petersburg. His dual career in music and science exemplifies his diverse talents and commitment to both fields until his death on February 27, 1887.
