Aleut Language
The Aleut language is a member of the Eskimo-Aleut language family and is primarily spoken by the Aleut people in the Aleutian Islands of Alaska and parts of Russia. It has several dialects, including Eastern Aleut and Western Aleut, which can differ significantly in pronunciation and vocabulary.
Aleut is an endangered language, with a declining number of fluent speakers due to historical factors such as colonization and assimilation policies. Efforts are being made to revitalize the language through educational programs and community initiatives, aiming to preserve the cultural heritage of the Aleut people.
