Eastern Aleut
Eastern Aleut is a language spoken by the Aleut people, primarily in the Aleutian Islands of Alaska. It belongs to the Eskimo-Aleut language family and has two main dialects: Eastern and Western Aleut. The language is an important part of the cultural heritage of the Aleut community.
The Eastern Aleut dialect is characterized by its unique phonetic and grammatical features. Efforts are being made to revitalize the language, as it faces challenges due to declining speakers. Language preservation initiatives aim to teach younger generations about their linguistic and cultural roots.
