Alberta Progressive Conservative Party
The Alberta Progressive Conservative Party (APC) was a political party in the province of Alberta, Canada. Founded in 1905, it aimed to represent conservative values and promote economic growth. The party was known for its long-standing dominance in Alberta politics, holding power for over four decades until the early 2010s.
In 2015, the APC faced significant challenges and was ultimately defeated in the provincial election. Following this loss, the party underwent a merger with the Wildrose Party in 2017, forming the United Conservative Party (UCP), which continues to be a major political force in Alberta.
