Alberta Junior Hockey League
The Alberta Junior Hockey League (AJHL) is a junior ice hockey league in Alberta, Canada. It was established in 1963 and is part of the Canadian Junior Hockey League (CJHL). The AJHL features teams from various communities across Alberta, providing young athletes with the opportunity to develop their skills and compete at a high level.
The league consists of 16 teams that compete for the Alberta Junior Hockey League Championship. The winner of this championship advances to the National Junior A Championship, representing the AJHL on a national stage. The AJHL plays a crucial role in the development of players, many of whom move on to higher levels of hockey, including collegiate and professional leagues.
