Albert Edward
Albert Edward, known as King Edward VII, was the first British monarch of the House of Saxe-Coburg and Gotha. He was born on November 9, 1841, and became king in 1901 after the death of his mother, Queen Victoria. His reign lasted until his death in 1910 and is often referred to as the Edwardian era, marked by significant social and political change.
During his time as king, Edward VII worked to improve relations between Britain and other countries, particularly France. He was known for his diplomatic skills and played a key role in the formation of the Entente Cordiale, which helped to ease tensions in Europe.
