Albert DeSalvo
Albert DeSalvo was an American criminal known for confessing to being the infamous Boston Strangler, a serial killer who terrorized the Boston area in the early 1960s. He was arrested in 1964 for unrelated crimes and later admitted to the murders of 13 women, although he was never tried for them.
DeSalvo's confessions were controversial, as some questioned their validity. He was convicted of other crimes and sentenced to life in prison, where he was murdered in 1973. His case remains a significant part of true crime history and has inspired various books and films.
