Albanian Royal Family
The Albanian Royal Family is a historical lineage that traces its roots back to the medieval period. The family claims descent from the House of Zogu, which ruled Albania in the early 20th century. King Zog I was the first monarch of modern Albania, reigning from 1928 until 1939, when he fled the country due to the Italian invasion.
After World War II, the monarchy was abolished, and the royal family went into exile. In recent years, members of the Albanian Royal Family have worked to promote Albania's cultural heritage and maintain connections with the Albanian people, despite their lack of official status.
