Al-Mustakfi Billah
Al-Mustakfi Billah was an important historical figure who served as the Caliph of the Abbasid Caliphate from 944 to 946 CE. His reign was marked by political instability and the growing power of regional leaders, which diminished the central authority of the caliphate. Despite his title, Al-Mustakfi struggled to maintain control over the vast territories under his rule.
During his short reign, Al-Mustakfi faced challenges from various factions, including the Buyids, who eventually took control of Baghdad. His inability to assert power led to his eventual deposition, highlighting the decline of the Abbasid authority during this period.
