Al-Husayn
Al-Husayn was the grandson of the Prophet Muhammad and the son of Ali and Fatimah. He is a significant figure in Islamic history, particularly in Shia Islam, where he is revered as a martyr and a symbol of resistance against tyranny. His life and actions are often associated with the principles of justice and sacrifice.
The most notable event in Al-Husayn's life was the Battle of Karbala in 680 CE, where he and his followers were killed by the forces of Yazid, the Umayyad caliph. This event is commemorated annually during the month of Muharram, especially on the day of Ashura, highlighting themes of martyrdom and the struggle against oppression.
