Al-Hajar Mountains
The Al-Hajar Mountains are a mountain range located in eastern Oman and the western part of the United Arab Emirates. They stretch approximately 700 kilometers and are known for their rugged terrain, deep valleys, and unique geological formations. The highest peak, Jebel Shams, reaches an elevation of about 3,000 meters, making it the tallest mountain in Oman.
These mountains play a significant role in the region's climate, as they capture moisture from the surrounding air, leading to increased rainfall in the area. The Al-Hajar Mountains are also home to diverse flora and fauna, as well as traditional villages that reflect the rich cultural heritage of the local communities.
