Al Nafud
Al Nafud is a vast desert located in northern Saudi Arabia. It covers an area of approximately 103,600 square kilometers and is characterized by its red sand dunes, some reaching heights of up to 250 meters. The desert experiences extreme temperatures, with scorching heat during the day and cooler nights.
The region is home to various wildlife, including sand gazelles and desert foxes, which have adapted to the harsh environment. Al Nafud also holds cultural significance, as it has been a historical route for traders and travelers, linking different parts of the Arabian Peninsula.
