Alþingismenn
Alþingismenn are members of the Alþingi, the national parliament of Iceland. This legislative body is one of the oldest in the world, established in 930 AD. Alþingismenn are responsible for creating and passing laws, representing the interests of their constituents, and overseeing the government.
Each Alþingismenn is elected to serve a term in the parliament, where they participate in debates and discussions on various issues affecting the country. The role is crucial in shaping Iceland's policies and ensuring that the voices of the people are heard in the legislative process.
