Akhmet Yesevi
Akhmet Yesevi was a prominent 12th-century Turkic poet and Sufi mystic, known for his significant influence on the spread of Islam in Central Asia. He was born in the city of Yese, in present-day Kazakhstan, and is often regarded as the founder of the Yeseviye order of Sufism. His teachings emphasized love, tolerance, and the importance of a personal connection with God.
Yesevi's most famous work is the "Divan-i Hikmet," a collection of poems written in the Turkic language.
