Aidan Of Lindisfarne
Aidan of Lindisfarne was a 7th-century monk and missionary known for his role in spreading Christianity in Northumbria, England. He was originally from Ireland and was sent by Saint Columba to establish a monastic community on Lindisfarne, an island off the northeast coast of England. Aidan became the first bishop of Lindisfarne and worked to convert the local population to Christianity through his teachings and example.
