Ahom Kings
The Ahom Kings were rulers of the Ahom Kingdom in present-day Assam, India, from the 13th to the 19th centuries. They were of Tai origin and established a powerful dynasty that successfully resisted Mughal invasions and expanded their territory. The Ahom dynasty is known for its unique administrative system and cultural contributions, including the promotion of Vaishnavism.
The most notable Ahom king was Chakradhwaj Singha, who ruled in the 17th century and is remembered for his military prowess and efforts to consolidate the kingdom.
