Ahmet Zogu
Ahmet Zogu was an important political figure in Albania during the early 20th century. Born in 1895, he initially served as a military leader and later became the Prime Minister of Albania. In 1928, he declared himself King Zog I, marking the establishment of the Albanian monarchy. His reign focused on modernizing the country and improving its infrastructure.
Zogu's rule faced challenges, including political opposition and economic difficulties. In 1939, as World War II began, he fled Albania when it was invaded by Italy. He spent the rest of his life in exile, passing away in 1961 in France.
