African green monkeys
African green monkeys, also known as vervet monkeys, are small primates native to sub-Saharan Africa. They have distinctive greenish-gray fur, a black face, and white fur around their ears. These monkeys typically live in troops, which can consist of up to 50 individuals, and are known for their social behavior and vocal communication.
These monkeys primarily inhabit savannas, woodlands, and urban areas. Their diet mainly consists of fruits, seeds, and insects. African green monkeys are also known for their adaptability, often foraging in human settlements, which can lead to conflicts with people over food resources.
