African Vulture
The African Vulture is a group of scavenging birds found across the continent of Africa. They play a crucial role in the ecosystem by consuming dead animals, which helps prevent the spread of disease. There are several species of African Vultures, including the White-backed Vulture and the Lappet-faced Vulture, each with unique characteristics and habitats.
These birds are known for their keen eyesight, allowing them to spot carrion from great distances. Unfortunately, many African Vulture species are threatened due to habitat loss, poisoning, and hunting. Conservation efforts are underway to protect these important scavengers and their habitats.
