Afonso II
Afonso II was the King of Portugal from 1211 to 1223. He was known for his efforts to strengthen the monarchy and improve the administration of his kingdom. Afonso II focused on establishing laws and promoting justice, which helped to create a more organized society. His reign was marked by conflicts with the nobility, as he sought to assert his authority over powerful lords.
