Afghan Education System
The Afghan education system has faced significant challenges due to decades of conflict and instability. It consists of three main levels: primary, secondary, and higher education. Primary education typically lasts for six years, followed by three years of secondary education. Schools are often under-resourced, and access to education can be limited, especially for girls.
In recent years, efforts have been made to improve the education infrastructure and increase enrollment rates. Various international organizations and NGOs have supported initiatives to enhance teacher training and provide educational materials. However, ongoing political and security issues continue to impact the effectiveness of these reforms.
