Afar people
The Afar people are an ethnic group primarily found in the Horn of Africa, particularly in Ethiopia, Djibouti, and Eritrea. They are known for their nomadic lifestyle, traditionally herding livestock such as camels, goats, and sheep. The Afar language, part of the Cushitic branch of the Afro-Asiatic language family, is spoken by the community.
Afar society is organized into clans, and they have a rich cultural heritage that includes unique music, dance, and oral traditions. The Afar people are also known for their resilience in adapting to the harsh conditions of the Danakil Depression, one of the hottest places on Earth.
