Adalbert of Prague
Adalbert of Prague was a 10th-century bishop and missionary known for his efforts to spread Christianity in Central Europe. Born around 956, he became the Bishop of Prague and worked to reform the church and promote education. His dedication to his faith led him to travel extensively, including missions to Hungary and Poland.
Adalbert faced challenges, including opposition from local rulers and political instability. He was eventually martyred in 997 while on a mission to Prussia. His legacy endures as a saint in the Catholic Church, and he is celebrated for his commitment to evangelization and the establishment of Christianity in the region.
