Action démocratique du Québec
The Action démocratique du Québec (ADQ) is a political party in the province of Quebec, Canada. Founded in 1994, the party aimed to represent a center-right ideology, focusing on issues such as fiscal responsibility, government efficiency, and the promotion of individual freedoms. The ADQ sought to appeal to voters who were looking for alternatives to the traditional Parti libéral du Québec and Parti québécois.
The ADQ gained significant popularity in the mid-2000s, particularly during the 2007 provincial election, where it won a substantial number of seats in the National Assembly of Quebec. However, its influence declined in subsequent elections, leading to a reorganization and a shift in its political strategy. The party continues to be a part of Quebec's political landscape, albeit with reduced prominence.
