Individuals with this skill can recognize notes played on instruments or sung by voices, often naming them accurately. This ability is rare, with estimates suggesting that only about 1 in 10,000 people possess it. People with absolute pitch can also reproduce a specific note on demand, such as singing a C or playing a G on a piano. This skill is often developed in early childhood, and while some believe it can be trained, many experts agree that it is primarily an innate ability.
