Absolute Pitch
Absolute Pitch, also known as perfect pitch, is the ability to identify or produce a musical note without any reference tone. Individuals with this skill can recognize notes played on instruments or sung by voices, often naming them accurately. This ability is rare, with estimates suggesting that only about 1 in 10,000 people possess it.
People with absolute pitch can also reproduce a specific note on demand, such as singing a C or playing a G on a piano. This skill is often developed in early childhood, and while some believe it can be trained, many experts agree that it is primarily an innate ability.
