Abishag
Abishag is a young woman mentioned in the Hebrew Bible, specifically in the First Book of Kings. She was chosen to care for the aging King David and is described as a beautiful Shunammite woman. Her role was to keep the king warm, as he was unable to maintain his body heat.
After King David's death, Abishag became a point of contention in the succession of the throne. Adonijah, one of David's sons, requested to marry her, which was seen as a claim to the throne. This request ultimately led to his downfall, as it was interpreted as a challenge to King Solomon's authority.
