Abell 1656, also known as the Hercules Cluster, is a large galaxy cluster located in the constellation Hercules. It is one of the most studied clusters in the universe and contains over 100 galaxies, many of which are elliptical in shape. The cluster is approximately 500 million light-years away from Earth. This cluster is notable for its rich population of galaxies and its significant gravitational influence. It is part of the larger Laniakea Supercluster, which includes our own Milky Way galaxy. Abell 1656 is also a source of X-ray emissions, indicating the presence of hot gas between the galaxies.
