Abbas II of Egypt
Abbas II of Egypt was the last Khedive of Egypt and Sudan, ruling from 1892 until 1914. He was born on July 14, 1874, and was a member of the Muhammad Ali Dynasty. His reign was marked by increasing British control over Egypt, which limited his authority and led to tensions between nationalists and colonial powers.
During his rule, Abbas II faced challenges such as the rise of nationalist movements and the growing influence of the British Empire. In 1914, he was deposed by the British authorities, who sought to stabilize their control during World War I. Abbas II died in exile in 1944.
