Aaronic priesthood
The Aaronic priesthood is a religious office in the Latter-day Saint movement, named after Aaron, the brother of Moses. It is considered a lesser priesthood compared to the Melchizedek priesthood and is responsible for performing certain ordinances, such as baptisms and administering the sacrament.
Members of the Aaronic priesthood are typically young men aged 12 to 18, and they are given specific duties within their congregations. This priesthood emphasizes service, teaching, and preparing individuals for higher responsibilities in the church. It plays a vital role in the spiritual development of its members.
