ATGM
An ATGM, or Anti-Tank Guided Missile, is a type of weapon designed to target and destroy armored vehicles, such as tanks. These missiles are typically launched from ground-based platforms, vehicles, or even helicopters, and are guided to their target using various technologies, including laser guidance or infrared homing.
ATGMs are crucial in modern warfare, providing infantry and light vehicles with the capability to engage heavily armored opponents from a safe distance. They are part of a broader category of guided missiles, which also includes systems like SAMs (Surface-to-Air Missiles) and AGMs (Air-to-Ground Missiles).
