AJHL
The Alberta Junior Hockey League (AJHL) is a junior ice hockey league in Alberta, Canada. It is part of the Canadian Junior Hockey League and features teams primarily from Alberta. The league provides young players, typically aged 16 to 20, with the opportunity to develop their skills and potentially advance to higher levels of competition, including college hockey and professional leagues.
Founded in 1963, the AJHL has grown to include 16 teams. The league operates under a regular season format, followed by playoffs to determine the champion. The AJHL champion competes for the RBC Cup, which is the national championship for junior A hockey in Canada.
